Why should I use a licensed professional instead of a general handyman to save on price?
Asbestos removal is a serious task. If you’re considering handling Asbestos yourself or hiring an unlicensed handyman there are a few factors which need to be considered:
- Broken Asbestos is highly dangerous and has a strong potential to create respiratory issues which will not only reduce your life span, but sadly to make your final months or years quite uncomfortable.
- It is unlawful to offer Asbestos removal services without a license.
- It is unlawful to dispose of Asbestos outside of approved channels, many of these channels may be aware that you have unlawfully handled Asbestos.
- There are many ways to be exposed to potentially lethal Asbestos fibres which might not be obvious to untrained individuals, the important part being; you wouldn’t know until after it had happened.
- Specialised equipment is required to remove Asbestos safely.
